Sanatoga Scream Showcase 18U Softball

This summer was a little different - we didn’t have the chance to compete in any tournaments, but we were still playing some really good softball in the Lyons Women’s Premier Fastpitch league. And while the format was different, it was a chance for this team to once again play together, as well as add some new members to our Scream family, and they never skipped a beat.

As another season comes to an end, things are once again a little different. For some, this summer was a welcome break from their new normal of juggling classes, added responsibilities, and some occasional fun. And for the rising college Freshmen, hearing their stories and getting advice as they prepare to embark on their new journey helped ease some fears and help with the transition. And being able to reconnect under the Scream orange is proof that this team is family, and you can always come home.

We want to wish our 6 seniors the very best as they start their collegiate journeys:

Amelia Atkins - Oakland University
Averi Sullivan - Montgomery County Community College
Addie Eross - McDaniel College
Gianna Howard - Elizabethtown College
Hayden Pysher - Lycoming College
Peyton Eckert - Clarkson University

And a special recognition to Addie and Hayden - the longest continuous members of this team from the first year of 12U!

To all our Scream girls, have a fantastic school year - we will be watching and keeping track of all your successes along the way, and can’t wait for next summer to do it all again!

Amelia closing out her senior year in style - hitting a HR in the state playoffs, helping push to the PA state championship game, played on Friday at Penn State. Keep that hot bat going Amelia and good luck!

Congrats to Amelia for winning Districts - now onto States! Way to go!!

As the high school season comes to a close, it is always nice to see accolades for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Congrats to Hayden for the Pottsgrove Softball award, and the Addie for the SpringFord Softball award. Addie was also named to All-PAC 2nd team! Congrats to you both!

And our final senior night was a special “2fer” - for both Averi and Gianna. This was the first game Averi has been able to play since a nasty knee injury last year. It was awesome to see them both holding down the middle of the infield! Next up is playoffs - with Amelia and OJR and Averi and Gianni with North Penn holding spots 1 and 2, we might see another Scream matchup in a late round of playoffs! Congrats Averi and Gianna!

We all knew it was coming - but leave it to Sammy to add a dramatic flair for her first collegiate home run! Way to go Skooch!!!

WE all know all the work our girls do all year round, but when others notice it too, it just hits a little different. A huge congratulations to Sammy and Charlotte on their conference accolades. Well done girls, and keep it up!!

And as a bonus we had a day/night Senior day Tuesday with Amelia as the night cap. And under the lights, as usual, Amelia shined with an impressive 3 RBI night with blistering shots that had the fielders rethinking their choice of position! And she isn’t done - the playoffs are on the horizon and her team is posed to make some noise, and we know one of the loudest will be Amelia. Congrats on a great HS career, and it’s almost time to bring that heat to Michigan!

Hard to believe we are almost done with the Senior Days! Playing the weather forecast game, a quick reschedule gave Hayden a beautiful afternoon to celebrate. And in typical Hayden fashion, she got the hits and made the plays with a smile on her face - always. And never missed the opportunity to show her quick wit and give a snide remark! That attitude will take you to great places - congrats Hayden!
