As an ISSA Elite Trainer, I focus on Outdoor Group Fitness, Strength Training, & Running Mechanics!

I believe the more we have self-discipline (1 Corinthians 9:24-27), the better we treat ourselves and others (Colossians 4:5). Be an ambassador for your well-being; as well as others (Galations 6:10).

📚Receive. Reflect. Respond.

🗣️Key Point > Before engaging others, it is essential to engage God first, and asking the Holy Spirit to come is a must. We have the power to witness, but we must call on him through prayer to give us boldness, direction, wisdom, and understanding as we witness.

Let’s flashback a month!

I ran my 2nd Marathon and let’s just say it did not go as planned.

I trained, I prepped, I rested, I recovered, I kept stress levels down as much as I could, but the day of the race. Nothing went according to plan.

I went to fast the first 13, it rained all morning and day (until the end), the course was half concrete and boardwalk(slippery) and both calves were stressed and checked out at mile 13.

However; the Lord always has a plan. I had every two opportunity walk away or keep going. I had every opposition ahead of me that would make me want to walk away. But in that moment I chose to be obedient to what I sensed the Lord telling me to do..”keep going with me” and I did. Trusted him with the outcome and finished running across that line this time.

Running with God, I had the opportunity to share and live out my faith, thanked volunteers, encouraged others, thanked the kids passing out pickles, prayed for a guy at the end of the race who was struggled along with me, and the next day shared this testimony of how good God is to the Norcross High football team.

“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What are you chasing?

I used to chase the things of this world when I ran track and cross country in high school, it was all about being the best runner, being number one, becoming a professional athlete, chasing down the time, and being obsessed with perfection.

Now I’m all about godly training. I still compete, I still for time, I still try to run my best and I’m still an athlete. What’s different? The time is that it’s not about my glory, It’s about Gods glory. He has given me gifts and talents to inspire people, motivate them, and share the gospel.

“and we all, who, with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is in spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:18

“ for physical training is some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” - 1 Timothy 4:8

🚨 Running Injuries ‼️

The cause of them can be for many reasons, but let’s just focus on 2️⃣ factors today.

⚠️ Intrinsic (Personal) - This will be specific to you, we are all unique and make different decisions that leads to injury.
🧩 Examples: Previous Injuries, Lack of Run experience, Gender, Bone Density, Foot Type (Flat, Mid, or Arch), and Hip & Glute (Butt) muscle activation.

⚠️ Extrinsic (Environment/Training) - This will be more specific to the training that’s being completed and the environment that its being done in.
🧩 Example: Weekly Milage(Increasing too soon), Intensity (The faster, the greater the stress), Shoes (do research, test them out, and ask questions), and Accidents (clumsiness or falling)

Run Well, Run Strong, and Run-Pain Free 👋🏽
