Wanna lose 10-20lbs in a month....drink more water, I would suggest to anyone like at least 100 ounces of water. Don't miss breakfast. Eat 3 main meals and eat every 2-3 hours. Each meal with protein and some veggies. Unlimited green veggies. And that's it....remember, take befire pics. Each week, have circumference measurements. 72% of all people that sign up on a gym membership quit after a 3 months!! This is a statistical fact ladies and gentlemen. Wanna know why?? My theory, the first month you are hyped up!! "Balls to the wall" type of attitude when you train. You have accumulated 10+ years of bad habits and you are ready to burn off that fat that has packed on with those bad habits in 4 weeks! That first month spending an hour on weights, hour on cardiovascular exercises, hitting classes, jumping on whatever fad diet that's popular online or you just plain, eat less(which is opposite of what you should do), you're drinking your water, you're not drinking alcohol. In 4 weeks you drop some pounds and some inches. You're stoked! You want to keep going. Well you keep doing the same things. 1 hour of weights, your 1 hour of cardio, the classes, but this month, you have a social gathering to go to. You "treat yourself" and boom. 5lbs+ up on the scale. You're like WTF?! I'm killing myself in the gym, I'm a little off so this is what I get?? You get down on yourself. "Life" starts happening so being you've lost some of your MOJO, you miss a class here and there. Miss entire days of the gym. You had a soda and it tasted so good, so you start having one here and there. Boom, another month goes by, you're up 5lbs again cuz you're slowly going back to old habits. More of "life" starts happening and you have to shorten your gym time. You just "don't have time" and you're still hitting hard when you go but you feel like you've "plateau'd" when really, your body is catching on to what you're doing. It's a creature of habit! You can't expect to do the same things over and over again expecting different results. That is the definition of insanity! Literally. So after the plateau, cutting yourself out socially from friends but it's not working anyway. By the end of the 3rd month. You quit. You say F*CK IT. I'M OUT.
So, am I close? Spot on? Can you relate?? Moral of this story, your body is a creature of habit!! You have to switch things up go shock it and force it to adapt in turn, giving you results. In strength, endurance, how you look, etc. The other moral, this is a LIFESTYLE. Not something temporary. You may feel like you don't have time, but guess what?? You make time! Because it's worth it. So worth it!! Get help!! Hire a professional. I do one on one training, online training programs, I can come to your work and offer wellness programs, do a seminar with your friends and family and teach you about nutrition, weight training, stretching, supplementation, any component of fitness! I love what I do. I could talk about it all day, and I pretty much do. Lol. Make it a lifestyle. I will show you how:)
STRETCHING TIP:
When stretching your hamstrings. Most people do it standing up. Putting your feet together and reaching towards your toes. Or even standing with your legs outside shoulder width pulling yourself down towards one leg or leaning side to side to stretch the groin. Why is this not a good way to stretch?? Because you want your muscles fully relaxed while performing your stretches. Standing up, your muscles are not relaxing. You're standing, holding your body up, which requires certain muscles to be engaged and those muscles are contracting to hold the weight of your body up. Your muscles are not fully relaxed to be able to acquire all the benefits from hitting those stretches. Next time you go to stretch those hamstrings. Sit on the floor :)
Just getting this page started!! Lots more pics to come!! Of clients getting great results, to competitions I have competed in, to interviews and supplement ads I've been in, and lots more!!
