Hey tribe! You’ve already heard the news and I’m so excited that today marks the first official day of my new role as the studio owner at this beautiful space!
It’s amazing to me how some things in life present themselves as carefully wrapped gifts that only require a willingness to open and receive, and I chose to receive one of those gifts this month.
I’ve been teaching barre fitness at here for almost exactly 7 years (84 months/ 363 weeks/ 2543 days to be exact) and take class nearly every day even when I’m not teaching. Ballet and barre classes have defined my fitness world and have sustained my mental health for so long that my heart sunk when said she’d be closing the studio a few weeks ago.
This news kicked the problem solver in me into high gear which lead to conversations around possibilities for keeping the studio (and the beautiful community it fostered) alive and thriving and I am so grateful that I get to take on this role in the most beautiful and supportive way possible.
Shantel will remain at the studio with me, teaching all of her usual classes, guiding and mentoring me as I grow into this new role. I feel held, loved and celebrated here and can’t wait to keep creating and sharing this beautifully packaged gift to be opened by all who will receive it, including those of you who have remained here supporting this small business while loving and caring for each other.

To my amazing Core 7 Tribe,

After eleven incredible years together, it is with both a heavy heart and a sense of peace that I share with you that my journey as the owner and Chief Rebel of Core 7 Fitness is coming to an end. This decision was not made lightly, as each of you has truly been a vital part of my life and purpose. As many of you know, my life has taken a much different direction the last few years with my coaching and retreats business. At this time, I do not feel that I am capable of giving what you and the studio need to truly flourish.

Reflecting on these past years, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every moment we’ve shared. Together, we’ve sweated through challenges, healed together, celebrated countless victories, and created memories that I will carry with me always. You have allowed me to be part of your lives, sharing not only in your fitness goals but in your personal journeys as well. I am beyond blessed to have been a part of this community.

As I take this next step, I am excited to announce that starting November 1, Megan Halversen will be leading Core 7 Fitness into its next chapter. Megan shares the same passion for health, growth, and community that Core 7 was built upon. She brings her own unique perspective and energy, and I am confident she will continue to foster the spirit that makes Core 7 so special. I trust that with her guidance, Core 7 will remain a place where you feel encouraged, inspired, and deeply connected. We ask for your support and patience as we navigate these upcoming changes and transitions.

Thank you for the trust, support, and memories that have made these past years unforgettable. As I move forward, I do so with immense love for each of you and for the remarkable space we have created together. Remember, when you walk through our doors, you are not only here for yourselves, but you are here for each other. I am so eternally grateful for the sacred and beautiful space that we have all created together. Core 7 is truly a magical place and I am so honored to have someone like Megan to carry forth this legacy.
