Welcome to our new fans and followers! The sun is FINALLY out (for now, anyway). This calls for a trip to the splashpark!
It's free and open to all ages and abilities. You can find thr splashpark at Carl Gene Young Park in SE Denton, just maybe a mile or two east of the Square.

Splish-Splash StoryTime Join us for a special StoryTime in the Children’s Play Pool at Water Works Park. Admission is waived, but participants must stay at the Children’s Play Pool and leave the park by 10:45 a.m. Co-sponsored by Denton Parks and Recreation Aquatics.

The splashpark opened on May 15 but today was the first time my kids could get out there!
I LOVE seeing your babies play at the splashpark after we all worked so hard to get this done for Denton. Post your pics here so we can all see their smiles!

Denton officials plan to reopen aquatic centers in May For the first time in almost two years, Denton’s aquatic facilities will begin reopening in May, along with the city’s recreation centers.

Looks like playgrounds will reopen on Monday (yay!), but the splashpark will remain closed. I'm just as bummed as you are, but it's important to keep our community protected. And it won't stay closed forever! I'll try to keep you posted on when it can reopen! Send any questions to Denton Parks and Rec. Stay safe, y'all!
🥳We're so excited to announce our official timeline for programs and facilities this summer. 🥳 Some big highlights include the dog parks and playgrounds, which open June 1. The Summer Food Program will begin June 1, and many contract sports are also allowed in June. North Lakes Rec Center also opens with modified hours on June 22.
