It’s Manatee Monday! Happy Labor Day to everyone! Come and take advantage of your long weekend by coming to Tarpon Bay Explorers for a relaxing kayak rental or an educational guided tour! Check our website for available tours and to reserve your spots!

Did you know manatees have no natural predators? Their only defense is their large size- adult manatees can weigh between 1,000 to 3,000 pounds. The biggest threat to manatees is human activity, along with red tide and cold weather events. They’re gentle giants!

The Anhinga is a diving bird found all across SW Florida. They’re sometimes called the Snake Bird due to their long skinny necks resembling a snake while they’re swimming. On the Commodore Creek Kayak Trail you may catch one with their wings stretched out as they dry off after a swim.

Guided kayak tours available today at 8:30am and 11:30 today! Make your reservations now!
