The crew putting in the work! 💪 Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 Enjoy your feast, and don’t forget to stay active and move your body! 🦃✨
Veterans Day Challenge in honor of Ben, our veteran. 🇺🇸 We took on a 12k ski relay, with each teammate pushing through exercises during their time off the ski. The goal? Beat 48 minutes—a serious challenge. Proud to say Matt, Ben, and I made it happen!
Part 2: Simba on duty! He’s all about perfect form. End-of-class savasana? His absolute favorite!
Since 2019, DFX has been dedicated to guiding you toward functional health beyond just gym strength. Our mission? To improve your movement, making you stronger, more resilient, and ready to excel in every aspect of life.
The men’s class working hard with trainer Steve! 👏
At DFX, it’s all about being your best outside the gym. It’s about having fun and living to your fullest. Took that mindset to a race in Mammoth on August 17th, a week before turning 54, and came away with a win in my division! Also snagged 2nd best overall time, just behind a 22-year-old. Not bad for a guy with a little gray hair! 💪
To boost your metabolism, focus on lifestyle choices:
1. Resistance training boosts your metabolic rate.
2. Healthy sleep patterns positively impact your metabolism.
3. A high-protein, low-carb diet can increase your resting metabolic rate.

Insulin helps glucose enter cells for energy, stabilizing blood sugar. Overeating sugary foods can lead to insulin resistance, causing stress, inflammation, and higher risks of diabetes and heart disease. Maintain insulin sensitivity with a diet rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber, and avoid processed foods and excess sugars.
Muscle mass plays a significant role in maintaining insulin sensitivity and reducing the risk of insulin resistance.
How to build & maintain muscle:
-Resistance training with free weights, bands, or machines 2-3 times a week.
-Consume enough protein, at least 1 gram per pound of bodyweight.
For personalized guidance on diet and exercise, consider scheduling a session with one of our experts at Dopamine FX.
