State Street Community Design Workshops - Help Design State Street!

On Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10, the City of Santa Barbara will host workshops at 821 State Street (between Canon Perdido and De La Guerra Streets) for members of the community to help create design concepts for the project area.

Attendees will be grouped into small teams to design a typical block wth transportation options and activities. Each team's ideas will be available for viewing. Available in English and Spanish. No professional design experience required. Everyone is welcome. Childcare will be provided.

Youth Programs & Adult Education
We engage youth in bike and pedestrian safety and get kids rolling and moving. We also bring bike safety skills to our adult communities, and work to involve them in transit advocacy.

Community Bike Shops (Bici Centro)
Our community spaces for bike repair, purchasing a new-to-you bike, and for learning bike maintenance skills. We have three convenient locations that serve thousands of people per year, including downtown Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara City College, and downtown Santa Maria.

Advocacy
MOVE takes action for change in our community. We advocate for people-focused community space and work with government officials and staff county-wide to develop safer, more connected sidewalks, bikeways and transit for all.

Event Bike Parking (Bike Valet)
Our premier service for folks who bike to events across Santa Barbara County. MOVE provided free, secure bike valet services at events for almost 3,300 bikes this year.
