Emergencies around water happen quickly. Staying prepared is an important part of staying safe. The National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) highlights emergency readiness as a key layer of protection for families around water.
Start by making sure help can be reached quickly. Keep a phone near the pool so 911 can be called immediately if needed. It’s also important that adults and caregivers know CPR with rescue breaths, since immediate action can make a critical difference in a water emergency.
Having rescue equipment, a first aid kit, and posted CPR instructions nearby can also help ensure the right tools and information are available when every second counts. Another important reminder: if a child is missing, check the water first and call 911 right away.
These simple steps can make a life-saving difference.

"Will my child be safe?"
That question sat in Lance and Cristine's hearts when they brought their little 3-year-old son to SafeSplash.
He was tiny.
He was new to the water.
And he needed extra support.
Many parents worry:
"What if my child is scared?"
"What if they don't fit in?"
"What if no one understands their needs?"
For parents of children who need a little extra care, those worries feel even bigger.
Because swimming is not just about learning strokes.
It's about trust.
It's about watching your child smile instead of fear.
It's about finding coaches who see your child for who they are and help them shine.
At SafeSplash, Coach Faron took the time to make this little swimmer feel comfortable, supported, and confident in the water.
And the result?
What started as a free trial quickly became a swimming journey filled with smiles, growth, and happy memories.
Because every child deserves a place where they feel safe, understood, and celebrated.
Sometimes all it takes is one caring coach to change everything.

A Little Girl's Big Swimming Journey !!
Two years ago, a little girl walked into SafeSplash.
She was small.
She was nervous.
And she started in Beginner 1.
Like many parents, her mom wondered:
"Will she really learn to swim?"
Week after week, she kept showing up.
Some days were easy. Some days were hard.
But she didn't quit.
And neither did her family.
Today, at just 6 years old, she is in Intermediate 1 and learning advanced swimming strokes.
- From being water-safe...
- To swimming with confidence...
- To learning skills she will carry for life.
Her mom shared something important:
The coaches were always kind, patient, and encouraging.
And that's what great learning looks like.
Not overnight success.
But small steps taken again and again.
The lesson is simple:
Every strong swimmer starts as a beginner.
Every big achievement starts with one small step.
And every child can surprise you when given the right support, patience, and opportunity.
What starts with a splash today... Can become confidence for life.
❤️ Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child's journey.

Life jackets are an important part of a strong water safety plan. The National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) recommends wearing a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) approved life jacket whenever spending time in or around natural bodies of water or while boating.
Life jackets should always be properly sized for the person wearing them and put on before entering the water. They can provide an added layer of protection when other safety measures may break down.
Not all flotation devices are the same. Arm bands, inner tubes, and inflatable toys are not safety devices and should never replace an approved life jacket or active supervision.
If you have questions about USCG approved life jackets, feel free to ask one of our swim instructors during your next visit.

5 Mistakes Parents Make When Kids Learn Swimming !
1. Waiting too long to start: The earlier kids learn, the faster they build water confidence & safety skills.
2. Focusing only on strokes: Swimming is not just technique. Confidence, breathing, and comfort in water matter first.
3. Inconsistent lessons : Skipping classes slows progress. Consistency creates strong swimmers.
4. Comparing kids with others: Every child learns at their own pace. Confidence grows faster without pressure.
5. Choosing “cheap” over “quality”: A safe, structured program with certified coaches makes all the difference.
Great swimmers aren’t built overnight.
Consistency + confidence = success
At SafeSplash, we focus on safety, confidence, skill & FUN — one splash at a time .
