Bill Grant, known as the Man of Steel, competed in the 60s and 70s. He was AAU New Jersey 1968, WBBG Pro Mr. America 1972, IFBB Mr. World 1974, and placed fourth in 1976 Mr. Olympia and fifth in 1977 Mr. Olympia.

Paul O’Lone started working out in 1981,when he was 13, because fortunately, there was a gym about two blocks away from his house.“Someone gave me a box of magazines with pictures of people like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Frank Zane, and that's when I knew I wanted to become a bodybuilder. I entered my first competition at 17, and although I was the youngest teenager in the show and didn't win, I got third place and was just happy to win a trophy. I was training and planning on entering Mr. Olympia in 1997 I started experiencing problems with my balance and I got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis but I was able to turn my poison into my medicine because I opened up a gym for people with disabilities called accessible fitness
