Congratulations to everyone who earned a new rank this past week! 🎉

Every new belt represents the hours of training, discipline, perseverance, and growth that happens on and off the mat. We are incredibly proud of everyone who tested and took another step forward in their martial arts journey.

The Dragon is the culmination of the Kenpo animals by blending the strengths of the Tiger, Snake, Leopard, and Crane into one complete fighting system.

🐅 The Tiger brings power and unwavering determination.
🐍 The Snake teaches precision and fluidity.
🐆 The Leopard develops explosive speed and agility.
🪽 The Crane embodies balance, patience, and perfect timing.

The Dragon combines them all while introducing continuous twisting, coiling, and spiraling movements. It flows both upward and downward, constantly changing levels to attack, evade, and adapt. Rather than relying on a single attribute, the Dragon seamlessly shifts between power, speed, precision, and balance.

The snake fights with speed, precision, and control. Instead of relying on brute strength, it uses rapid strikes aimed at vulnerable targets such as the eyes, throat, and pressure points. Its movements are fluid, deceptive, and difficult to predict. It waits patiently for the perfect moment before striking with accuracy.

The snake teaches us that technique, timing, and focus can be more powerful than force. 🥋🐍

🐆 The Leopard 🐆
*One of the five animals of Kenpo*

The leopard doesn’t waste energy. It strikes with explosive speed, precision, and confidence. It overwhelms it’s opponent before they even have enough time to react. Every movement has a purpose and intent.

In Kenpo, the leopard reminds us that true power isn’t just strength, but controlled speed, timing, and accuracy.

The crane is one of the foundational influences of Kenpo Karate. It emphasizes balance, precision, timing, and evasive movement over brute strength. The crane stays relaxed, creates angles, and strikes with accuracy while maintaining stability🪽

It’s Tiger Week at Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios🐅! The tiger is one of the five animals of Kenpo that focuses on the power of attacking offensively. In this drill, students are working on a step-drag-forward with a strike, practicing the principle of not moving backwards after striking.

🐅From the Tiger we learn to be strong and tenacious with focused power, courageous and dedicated🐅
