Women should never have to learn to defend themselves because some men refuse to learn respect, consent, and accountability.

Teach your sons that “no” is a complete sentence. Teach them that intoxication is not consent. Teach them that real strength is protecting people, respecting boundaries, and stepping in when something is wrong.
And teach your daughters—your friends, your sisters, your coworkers—that they are allowed to take up space, trust their instincts, and fight like hell to get home.
The allegations out of Cornell are another brutal reminder: prevention starts with men’s behavior and institutional accountability—not with women being told to be less trusting, less social, or less free.

Respect women. Believe survivors. Hold people accountable. Train anyway.

Having kids is, without a doubt, the toughest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’m grateful everyday for my boys. I cherish every moment. Every laugh. Every hug. And for my youngest, I take every opportunity to pick him up and hold him. Because I never know when it will be the last. They grow up fast. Take in every moment you can. The good. The bad. The awful. As they say… the days are long… but the years are short.
