Sol y Mar’s surfboards are designed for women’s particular physiology.

Some of us spent years surfing boards that were too wide, too flat, too thick, or too long. For a long time the majority of surfboards were created by and for men. As much as we love you guys, we needed something different. Something specific to our unique physiques.

We take every last detail into account when creating a personalized fit, for every body type.

We take pride in our surfboards as highly functional art—with soul. Hand-shaping – a practice steeped in tradition, yet open to innovation — is essential to our philosophy. Each board is as one-of-a-kind as the woman who rides it.
