On this day, 18 years ago, I opened this humble studio. Some of these photos were taken 18 years ago 🙂! With gratitude, I celebrate this milestone and thank so many people, most of all, my amazing clients and my Pilates mentors. The list is BIG! This day is beautiful and so are all of you.

The closer one gets to the original work and intention, the better it works and the more sense it makes. The classical system is mentally stimulating, fun, and helps clients reach goals quickly.

Be inverted, and feel decompressed. You're working on the muscular precision of your upper back, chest, shoulders, and abdominals, not passively rolling. Find a lift that is equal to your curl so you can get strong and moveable.
Today, I enter my 5th decade! I had more energy when I began Pilates 30 years ago. My body and mind have been through a lot. Some awesome. Some just awful. 6 years ago, I didn't have much confidence I would have this capacity again. I practice Pilates now more than I did 6 years ago. Like many of you other teachers out there, I allowed my work to supercede my practice. I now train with a long view of health and enjoyment. Age brings maturity and hopefully the redemtion of qualities we've forgotten or ignored. I have so much to be grateful for. And the wonders of life remain...
