It's Mom's 90th birthday today. Having these two generous, kind, and supportive people as my parents was the absolute best gift. May we all create the kind of legacy Betty Louise Ayres Terry left behind!
My dad's smile said it all. She made the world a better place. I miss her so....

This was a hard day, saying goodbye to my friend Shelley's great love (and husband of 44 years), a guy who also happened to be one of my oldest childhood friends. But the heartbreak was made easier by being able to surround shelley and her family with the amazing love and care of the Logan community.
These women! We've been lifelong friends, Shelley and I, since she started first grade, and the others soon after that ( they just went in school yet!).
We've shared stories about scary elementary school teachers, blankets at track meets, and jolly rancher hot sticks in lemons ( it's a real thing). We've been to prom together, ignoring our dates, and we've stood up at one another's weddings. We've thrown baby showers for each other and then for one another's kids.
The last picture we took together was at my mom's funeral in November.
We hold each other's memories, but more than that, we hold each other's hands and hearts. When Shelley's heart is broken, so is ours.
I wish this for everyone else in the world - the type of close friends who always have your back and who always show up. I couldn't survive this world without my Logan girls!
Love you, Shelley, Glena, Robin, and Louise!

It wasn't my ambition to be the Logan Bicentennial Queen in 1975, but when my cousin Sherry asked me to be part of the pageant "so the one runner-up won't have to stand alone," I said yes.
Plus, I figured there was a new Gunne Sax dress in it for me. 🤣 and I was right (I wish I still had it to sell on ebay for a thousand dollars!).
There's something to be said for having no expectations or fear. It must have been the winning formula 😆
Who else has surprised themselves with a big win (this sort of did away with my stage fright...) that was unexpected?

Very proud of how beautiful the front of Bell Tower is looking these days. The summer tourists seem to love it too! Just about everyone who walks by stops to take a quick picture. Come by 211 Wast Palace to see for yourself. Then stop on in for a cup of coffee and chat with your favorite Santa Fe realtor!

No filter Santa Fe skies!
If you'd like to live somewhere with sunsets like this, you can. In fact, this house is available right now.
11 Barton Road sits on two acres, feeling like you're in the country when you're really only 10 minutes from shopping and restaurants. It's a 4 bedroom home with a 2 car garage, a barn, and fenced acreage for your horses. Priced at only $639k, and you could build additional structures of you want.
There's even a well to feed all your small farm or gardening dreams!
DM with the word "sunset" for more info.
Lots of folks ask me if they have to be a millionaire to live in Santa Fe. I say, "No, you just have to want to live where it's surprisingly beautiful every day."
