Yoga is often introduced through asana, the physical postures we practice on the mat. But asana is just one of yoga’s eight limbs.⁠

Together, the 8 limbs offer a framework for how we treat others, care for ourselves, work with the body and breath, quiet the senses, focus the mind, and connect more deeply.⁠

They remind us that yoga does not end when we step off the mat. It is a lifelong practice that can shape how we move through the world and relate to ourselves, others, and all that surrounds us.⁠

You do not have to master the limbs in order or practice them perfectly. They are tools we can return to again and again.⁠

We know what it's like showing up for class when you're not in the best state of mind. That's understandable, normal, and totally human.⁠

In fact, getting yourself to class can often be the hardest part.⁠
⁠
You may not feel strong when you walk through the door, but you showed up... and chances are, you'll feel a whole lot better walking out.⁠
⁠
So, give yourself space to move, breathe, release, connect, and take care of yourself in whatever way you can that day. Whether you stay in the saddle the whole ride or lie in savasana for the full 60-minute yoga class.⁠

Just showing up counts for more than you know.⁠
