BIG CONGRATS to Stevonna, a member of the housing and education program at the Santa Monica YWCA! She graduated from Santa Monica College with an AA degree and received recognitions from Black Collegians, EOPS, and Guardian Scholars! These are pictures from her graduation day and a celebration given in her honor. She is currently waiting to hear if she will be attending CSULA to study Rehabilitative Services or CSUSB to study Sociology. Congratulations Stevonna! Your hard work is admirable! We are so proud of you!

Regardless of political affiliation, the fact that we live in a time where it is even possible for a woman to be in the race for President of the United States, shows amazing progress and the fact that women's dreams CAN come true! This post is dedicated to all the women, past and present, who helped pave a way for the future of our girls~

Great performances by all the girls at the final Girl Central Showcase and Dance Recital!! The theme was, "The Future is Power", and girls, we know your futures sure look bright! We are so proud of you all and look forward to seeing all the amazing things you continue to do both now, and in the future!
