The Dirt Diggers M.C. promotes and organizes Desert, Grand Prix and Motocross events. We are a non profit organization affiliated with the AMA & D37
The Dirt Diggers were formed at the end of the Second World War in 1945. A few of the founding members were scout riders in the war. These brave souls rode Harley's and Indians with no suspension, as this is all that was available. Many of the bikes were war surplus. The first president was a man named Neil Hansen. A Heartfelt Farewell 🕊️🏁
It is with heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the passing of one of our beloved members, Nate Sciacqua Sr. His son, Nate Jr. and wife Marlene Sciacqua shared, “He was home with family around him. His feet and hands were moving like he was shifting gears, grabbing clutch and twisting throttle. He was 85 years old and one super cool Dude.”
Indeed, he was. Nate leaves behind a treasure trove of wonderful memories, captivating stories, and invaluable wisdom, along with a few pages in the book Monkey Butt by Rick Sieman. His win of the 1974 Greenhorn Enduro is just one of many accomplishments in the racing world.
Godspeed, Nate. May the trails in the sky be dust-free, and your throttle be wide open. 🙏🏼🕊️

🗣️ As the racing season comes to a close for some, the Dirt Diggers ‘26 efforts are in full swing. We’re hard at work, laying out our 80th Anniversary Desert Scramble, with an eclectic mix of what the desert has to offer.
