I encourage you to focus on what you love about exercising. As you can see, I love walking at the beach. I’m grateful to have easy access to it.
However, it’s not just about having easy access to walking at the beach. It’s doing it.
It would’ve been straightforward to attend my appointment this morning and meet with my client. However, I decided to leave earlier and walk to the beach.
I was going for a walk at the beach or wherever is a choice. It would’ve been easy for me to choose not to do it. However, I’m grateful I decided to go.
I encourage you to affirm your love for walking at the beach or whatever you love about exercise. You could say I love hiking or I love walking in my neighborhood.
You could also love working out at the gym, home, or wherever. I just encouraged you to start by affirming what you love about exercising, how great it makes you feel, and how much better it enhances your life.
What you tell yourself about exercise or whatever you want in life can make a huge difference in actually doing it.
If you focus on how tired you are, how you don’t have time, or how you’ll do it next week, month, or year. If you decide that you’re just not up to it or you’re not in the mood, that is a choice you’re making to think that way, which will lead to you not doing it
What we tell ourselves is powerful. If you focus on the positive elements of exercising in life that you want, it can help you get that.
By focusing on my love for walking at the beach, I am setting a tone in my mind and my heart, focusing on my passion for walking at the beach. Therefore, I will be likelier to do it because I think positively about it, especially if I think about my love for hiking and decide to connect it to my passion for walking at the beach.
The more you can connect to the positive benefits of exercising, how great it makes your life, and how much you enjoy it, it can help you be more motivated and inspire you to exercise.
