What if that honey-hole waypoint you just saved isn’t where you think it is?

There’s two ways to create a new waypoint. One quickly marks the current position of the boat - like a MOB, and the other can mark something you saw on your sonar history behind the boat - such as a pile of bait you drove over. I use a combination of both of these when I run my boat.

Understanding the features in your chartplotter makes them even more valuable. I’ve caught a lot of fish just from something I noticed on my chart.

We’ll be posting these tips the first Tuesday of every month, so follow along to learn more (and hopefully catch more fish).
