For those that follow this page you may recognize
Dolly.

We took Dolly into our program to get her back into riding fitness after many years off.

To also get to know her, to be able to find a perfect fit for her with her new owner.

Dolly lived with her sister most of her life, 25 and a half years.

All that time in the same facility that I run my business out of in Santa Rosa.

Dolly’s sister passed away several months back and Dolly made it known to us she was ready to do a job again.

She would watch and trot the fence of her paddock as we passed by working with each horse and person in our training program.

Like she was asking ‘what about me?’

Dolly prefers riding out and exploring new things to arena work.

After months of carefully fitting her up, she now has her new home and owner Pam Appleby.

Pam has had her in her new home for a few days and was kind enough to let me know that Dolly is settling in nicely!

Barrels were already setup in the arena when we got in there.

So okay, we’ll use them in Joshua’s lesson today.

But Luke ( the reiner) let us know that chasing cans is NOT in his job description.

Turned a ‘bit’ wide on the first can, and the almost ‘looks cool’ bottom pic is of Joshua starting to cue him to turn left on the second barrel.

Luke said ‘Oh! You want a stop you say?’

Luke then locks up the brakes while faking he was ‘planning’ on turning left around the barrel.. NOT! 🤣🤭😜
