Sunny but chilly. Palmetto Traverse. Lake Marion #1. Santee-Cooper #1. Closed today and probably tomorrow as highs won’t get warm enough to melt this especially in shaded areas.

Melissa loves to celebrate the holidays and she blesses us with her enthusiasm…and yes, they were yummy too! Although many on the crew had blue tongues yesterday! 😂

Did you see the sky this morning? This is overlooking Lake Marion at 5:00am. We believe it is from the SpaceX rocket launch in Florida.

Yesterday, Todd Miller (PGA Golf Professional and GM at Santee-Cooper Resort), Penny Miller (Pro Shop Manager and Director of Golf), Steve Smart (PGA Golf Professional at Santee-Cooper CC), and I were honored at the South Carolina Golf Association Golf Day Meeting as SCR was named SCGA Golf Course of the Year (2023). It was nice to be recognized and also to see friends and meet new ones.

Cooper, the rock, is on the move. Found today and relocated.
If you find it take a picture, post here, and place it in a new spot on Santee Cooper Country Club!

Yesterday Amanda & Tara found this painted rock while working at Santee Cooper Country Club. They named the rock Cooper! Then they explained to me that when a person finds a painted rock in a random location, the finder is supposed to hide it in a new location. So they did just that, moving Cooper to a new location on the course. Want to play? If you locate Cooper relocate this rock to a new location, post a picture and share where you found it.
