Our week in Sarasota has been quickly flying by and coming to an end. Logged lots of meters this morning, and then traded in our oars for dragon boat paddles this afternoon as we did some team-building.

Happy International Women’s day from St. John Fisher Rowing.
Since we last posted, we’ve completed many loops down and around the race course, had strength and condition sessions in the finish line tower, as well as visiting Siesta Key and St. Armand’s circle

Day 1 in the books!
Spent the morning watching USRowing Speed Orders. In the afternoon, the varsity got on the water to shake off the rust, while the novices took the time to learn more about boat handling and breaking down the stroke.

Dear Fisher Rowing Friends, Family, and Alumni,

We are pleased to announce that the Women’s & Men’s Fisher Rowing Program is in its 10th year! We are proud of our team history and, with your support, we will be able to provide more opportunities for the program in the years to come.

While the past two years have been challenging, the athletes have shown incredible resilience and exemplified everything it means to be both a Cardinal and part of the Fisher Rowing Family. During the Fall 2021 season, the team achieved a 3.6 GPA and sent a Women’s 4+ to compete in the Head of the Charles Regatta. This season we are extremely excited and hopeful to race two women’s 8+ crews at the Liberty League Conference Championships in May.

We strive to provide the best experience for our student-athletes both on and off the water. Your support will help us achieve even more opportunities going forward!

Your donation will support efforts such as: the purchase of new equipment such as an 8 boat and set of 8 oars, entry fees for large regattas such as the Head of the Charles, lowering the cost per athlete for attending spring break training at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL, and giving the athletes an opportunity to receive strength and conditioning services.

Every donation helps, no matter the size. Find the link at the end of our post and in our bio. The Fisher Rowing legacy is one of resilience and family. "We are because you were."

Thank you for your continued support. GO CARDS!
