There’s one mistake that most middle aged busy professionals make when trying to achieve their summer body.
I’ve seen it many times in my 17 years of personal training.
And I understand what it’s like to be a busy parent of 6 kids, a business owner and the challenges that one faces staying fit and healthy and making it a lifestyle.
It’s prioritizing short-term, unsustainable approaches over long-term lifestyle changes.
Many resort to crash diets like:
The South Beach Diet
Weight Watches Point System
Keto
Carnivore
In hopes that the extreme nature in the change will result in extreme results.
But your body doesn’t work like that.
These approaches often lead to burnout, frustration, and ultimately regain of any lost weight once the unsustainable practices are abandoned.
Instead, focusing on small manageable changes into daily routines over time can lead to long term lasting results.
For example:
Doing strength training 2X week, increasing your daily caloric burn, and lowering stress.
Lowering over consumption of refined sugars and snacks that zap you of your energy levels and erode your digestion leading to poor output in your career, relationships and overall health.
And instead including foods that give you energy, help keep you in fat burning mode, and give your brain fuel to get more done in less time.
This is what we focus on inside of the 63 Day Transformation.

How to lose 15lbs by July 8th.
63 days from now will be July 8th.
The peak of summer time.
Maybe you have some beach days on the calendar with your family and friends.
What you decide to do after reading this post will determine how you look on that day.
You see, there are two types of people around this time of year.
Type A) realize that in order to look their best come the peak of summer, they need to build a foundation that is built on lean muscle, not just fat loss.
And lean muscle takes time to build.
Working with a coach to create a plan of action that fits with their lifestyle, goals, schedule, and past experiences.
Or,
Type 😎 look for another easy way out, like the latest diet trend, intense workout protocols, or even Ozempic.
Then overtime starting to look the same, just lighter.
“Shinny fat” if you will.
Only to put on the pounds again over the next few months.
Repeating the cycle year after year.
Here is the thing most coaches don’t talk about.
But I will be real with you.
The best time to start was years ago.
But, the next best time to start is today.
The beautiful thing is…
Is that there are only 3 main elements that you should be focused on when building your summer body.
Get 10k steps per day
Eat in a slight caloric deficit
Strength train 2-3 times per week for not more than 30 minutes
But in coaching busy professionals over the last 17 years…
I’ve found that late night snacking is one of the main ’summer body’ killers for this demographic.
So not only will we eat in a way where you aren’t that hungry late at night (while still staying in a deficit).
But also signal to your brain that you are done eating, and winding down for the night.
It also helps with your sleep quality, to wake up energized and refreshed vs. groggy and still tired, needing 3 coffees to just get through the day.
Now, I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that in this post, I just shared what you should be doing to achieve your summer body, not how exactly to get there.

“ Have you been trying to see results for longer than 3 years?”

There is a major roadblock to your health and fitness success that you don’t even know about.
It’s like trying to drive your car as fast as you can, yet you have the e-brake on.
What it is…
Is a misdiagnosis of the problem that you think you need to solve.
Stick with me for a second.
Most clients who hire me, have been trying to see health and fitness results for 5, sometimes 10 or more years.
Usually, it’s not for a lack of effort or trying.
In fact, it’s usually the opposite.
They are working hard and really searching for the right protocol that will work for them.
The issue is, they are solving the wrong problem for themselves.
If you are going on a road trip.
And you think you are driving in the right direction.
But you are driving in the complete wrong direction…
It’s going to not only take you longer to get to where you initially wanted to go.
But also you have wasted valuable time.
Let alone money, effort, and energy.
The problem most of my clients initially think they need to solve is basic weight loss.
You know, just eat less, and move more?
But it’s this shallow thinking that the industry has created that is keeping you stuck.
It’s not the full picture.
You can get advice like that for free on YouTube anyways.
The full picture you need is holistic.
What your lifestyle looks like.
Fluctuating stress levels.
Family life and goals.
Mindset and thinking patterns.
External environment.
Daily habits.
Legacy goals.
This may seem like a lot.
But once you connect these main health elements together, your results come exponentially faster.
This week I’m going to give you clarity on the exact actions you need to take to reach your health and fitness goals before 2024 ends.
But it all starts with solving the right problem, in order.

“I just need to get in shape first before I start working with you.”
“I have a vacation coming up in 7 weeks, let me go on that and then we can start afterwards, I promise I’m all in.”
I’ve heard a lot of different ways of saying ‘It’s not the right time’.
The truth is….
It never is.
Your need for absolute certainty and for the conditions to be perfect is holding you back.
What’s important to know here.
Is that not being ready, or still having a lot going on in your life is not a “problem”.
It means your human.
It’s natural to find ways not to do something that is just outside of your comfort zone.
But when I look back at all my most successful clients.
And even success in my own life, is when I was outside my comfort zone.
It all starts before your ready.
They knew that feeling is actually growth about to happen.
That is exactly what I am here for.

We all have two options when it comes to taking care of our health for longevity and a higher quality of life.
We can either be reactive.
Or proactive.
You see, most people are reactive.
They wait until they start are not feeling good and have trouble just doing daily activities and the difficulty doing the physical activities they once enjoyed to finally get on a fitness program.
Or they have that moment when their kids or grandkids poke their belly when they can’t keep up with them in the backyard anymore.
Or worse, your doctor gives you some bad news…
The thing is, a good majority of these cases can be avoided by doing 1 simple thing.
Starting before it’s too late.
Making the decision.
That’s what being proactive with your health looks like.
It’s not waiting until you are 25 pounds (or more) overweight or reached retirement and can't enjoy tennis or pickleball to make a change.
It’s not waiting for your family members to point it out, lowering your status in their eyes.
It’s definitely not waiting for your doctor to tell you.
YOU, have to tell yourself, it’s time.
I can’t do that for you.
But there is one thing I have learned over my last 17 years in coaching busy professionals in the personal training industry.
The ones who start earlier have much more success long-term than the ones who wait and procrastinate.
You can build two mental muscles that create a momentum effect in your life.
You can build the momentum of fixing problems as soon as they come up, not letting them become too big and affecting other areas in life.
Or…
You can build the muscle of procrastination, letting small problems turn into bigger problems, and negatively affecting other areas in your life that are important to you.
This decision making pattern usually shows up in other areas in life as well, not just your
