One of our goals at the 2025 CCNC was to bring more experience to newer members. It is well known that Sheena and Jeff have years of steering experience in their pockets. But this was an excellent opportunity to expand the L*D stable . Anjanette Makuk Rich (AJ) and Ryan Villena took on the challenge each race and proved their skills under the pressure of a national event! They had full control of their boats and race courses!

Day 3.. the 2k! What a day! All 5 teams got their shot around the course. All boats went the two laps with perfection! L*D grabbed two more medals for this day! The Premier Open, knowing they were down going in, had to step up their game for this to set themselves up for a shot at a berth to Taiwan. They went out and made the magic happen! With a solid finish moving them up a couple of slots and a stroke of unfortunate luck for one of the competitors, it all came together. We weren't sure if it was enough until it was called at the ceremony that they would join Premier Women's and Sr. A mixed on the trip to Taiwan! This also was an opportunity for L*D's two new steers, AJ and Ryan, to show of their steering talents as well, as they raced around the course with ease!! Congratulations to all the L*D members!

Day 2..another challenging day, but the team stood up! As always, fast and furious racing on the 200m course! We made adjustments were we could and tightened up the gaps! L*D was able 2 grab 2 more medals! A silver in Sr A mixed and a bronze in Premier Women!
