Hey,

Eddie here, or some of you may know me as Stretch Sensei, El Jefe, the Healer, Magic hands or perfect hair² of forever. Just make sure you spell my name right when you put it on the statue (I kid I kid).

I'm here today to present to you something you may be missing in your pursuit of health and fitness.

A nutrition program like no other.

Typically I don't overemphasize this, but in this case, its justified.

Over 45,000 people have used this system and collectively they have lost over 900,000 pounds.

Those numbers are impressive but whats even more impressive is that the majority have kept it off or kept losing more weight even after the program finished.

Below is a video of what you can expect when you're a part of the procoach program.

I've been working with a group with the Procoach nutrition program and so far the results have been awesome.

Wanted to let you know that I'm going to be promoting this service for a short time because of my limited availability. You have first dibs to this .

I can only take on so many clients (40 to be exact) and there's 30 people already committing to starting as soon as I open the doors.

All you have to do to let me know you're even slightly, remotely, minusculy interested is reply with a "YES" in the comments or email me at: [email protected]

I'll send you more information so you can make a better decision on joining the program.

Til next time,
Eddie Fajardo

Flu season is here. Do yourself a favor and elect not to get a flu shot. Vaccines are loaded with chemicals your body doesn't like and it doesn't even guarantee that you won't get the flu. Instead take, zinc, Uber C (imo the best vitamin C), Probiotics, and get your vitamin D levels up to par. For more immune building info, read this article.

What are you doing this Sunday? I hope you're enjoying it by doing something fun. If you're in the Sarasota area stop by siesta key and check out the sand sculpture contest. There is also an art festival on St Armand's going on. I'll be visiting both so if you can't make it I'll be sure to take tons of pics and post them on a flikr account for you guys to check out.

I'll leave you with one more calf training tip and an easy routine. The calves, because they're short and are constantly worked every time we walk are susceptible to shortening and tightness. Be sure to stretch your calves consistently if you wish to make them grow. Take it a step further and roll them on a hard surface like a lacrosse ball. This will open them up and relieve any tightness. You can purchase a lacrosse ball for $3 at a sports store. I got mine from Play it Again Sports.

After your leg workout, try this simple routine.
Standing Calf raise, one leg at a time.
Sets 3-5
Reps 6-8
Tempo 2222
Rest 45 sec's
You will hold a dumbbell on the working leg. It should take you 2 seconds to go up on the balls of your feet. Then hold and squeeze at the top for 2 seconds. Next lower yourself for 2 seconds and last hold at the bottom position for 2 seconds. Then repeat until you reach all your repetitions. Switch legs and do the same. Rest 45 seconds and continue. Pick a light weight to start. Some of you may only need your own bodyweight to start. Try this out and let me know how it works for you.

Enjoy your Sunday and stay Primal!!!

Another calf tip: The calves are inherently elastic. They are kind of bouncy and if you've ever seen someone perform them in a fast manner it almost looks like they're rubber bands.

Firstly, you should use a full range of motion, meaning as high as you can come up off the balls of your feet to the lowest your ankles and heels can drop to stretch the calf in the bottom position.

Because of this bouncing effect you should take a pause at the bottom of each rep to stop the elastic effect of this muscle. (short stretching cycle) At least 2 seconds are needed.

You may find even better results with longer pauses at the bottom like 6 seconds for each repetition.

Calf Tip: The Calf muscle consists of two separated muscles, gastrocnemius and soleus. The gastroc can be seen higher on the lower leg near the knee. The soleus lies under the gastroc and is seen closer to the ankle. Each has a particular function in extending the foot (think tip toeing).

Gastroc is primarily worked when the leg is completely straight. Even a slight bend in the knee can effect the recruitment of the gastroc.

The soleus is worked when the knee is bent. Because of its stabilizing role it responds better to higher repetitions. 15-20 reps is a good start.

This is just a small intro before we get into specific training styles to increase calf growth and strength. Stay tuned!!
