The decision to cancel the race was made in partnership with and under the guidance of the Sarasota Police Department. As a result of this, Life Time will be providing refunds for all half marathon and relay participants. All half marathon and relay participants are still welcome to run the 10K distance.

Participants will receive the medal(s) for the races they registered for, and the Florida Storm Series medals and Perfect Storm awards will still be given per the race originally registered for from the Marketing tent. Overall and Age Group awards will still be given for the 10K & 5K distances.

Race start will remain at 6:30 AM. Please allow for plenty of time race morning to park, meet up with friends and get set at the start line.

We look forward to seeing all participants in the morning.

IMPORTANT RACE UPDATE - Due to public safety issues, the half marathon and second half of the relay course has been cancelled.

All half marathon and relay runners are invited to participate in the 10K, which will follow the route from Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall over the Ringling Bridge, around St. Armand’s and back to Van Wezel.

We do apologize for the inconvenience and recognize the hard work put into training for this race. We are extremely saddened we cannot host the half marathon tomorrow.

Further details will be forthcoming by 9 p.m. for impacted runners. Again we apologize for the short notice and cancellation of this event.
