Crew Paper Tiger

A 1966 Columbia Yachts C-40 Bluewater Racing Sailboat, hull #44. Prototype for C-38. Designed by Charley Morgan re-penned by Bill Tripp two famous N.A.'s.

Originally designed by Charlie she was successfuly redesigned by Bill Tripp to sail faster and drive deeper. She was modified at the factory in Santa Anna, Ca. before she was delivered to her first owner. More to come.

Met a customer at West Marine the other day who knew Charlie Morgan when he was young. They used to race Thistle Sailboats in St. Pete against each other and he was later the "B" Skipper of Saber (Charlie was the "A" Skipper (the prototype for my boat)) on the Miami to Nassau Race... So Cool...
