Follow these steps if you want to get into collecting sports cards
1. Buy players and teams you actually enjoy If the market dips, you'll still love what's in your collection. The best collections usually start with personal favorites, not hype.
2. Condition is everything
A small crease, soft corner, or bad centering can drastically change value.
Always check condition before buying raw cards.
3. Don't chase every trend
Hot rookie cards can explode fast - and crash just as quickly. Long-term collectors usually do better focusing on quality over hype.
4. Learn the difference between rare and
"numbered"
A card numbered to 99 isn't automatically valuable. Player demand, brand, autograph quality, and timing all matter too.
5. Protect your cards immediately
Use penny sleeves, top loaders, binders, or magnetic cases. One scratch from poor storage can ruin a card's grade and value forever.

ATTENTION!!! Important information for all of our valued customers. Many of you have seen the announcements from PSA regarding changes to grading. Blue Breaks and Blue Breaks Sarasota will be accepting Bulk submission for modern sports cards (1980 to present) along with Pokémon through this Sunday, May 31st, 2026 at 5pm. This will be our cut off for anything being submitted on Bulk submission. We will not be taking any submissions for Value, Value Plus and Value Max. We will continue taking Regular, Express, Walk-Through as normal. We thank you for your understanding with this matter and look forward to continuing to serve our community.
