About Emily |My name is Emily Estelle. I was born and raised in Florida. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old. At the age of 6 years old I said I wanted to be a dance teacher and now, 18 years later I am living my dream. After dancing all throughout high school and graduating I did 3 years in the training program with Sarasota Contemporary Dance, summer intensive with Joffrey Ballet and I have worked professionally on stage with West Coast Black Theater. Now, I am married and a momma of one and I am so excited to step back into this new season of choreographing and bringing new works to light!

About the Performance | Orange Grove Dance presents an evening screening of select dance films featuring the company’s signature blend of virtuosic athleticism, striking imagery, and cinematic movement. Featuring their newest work, A Call or Knock, the program invites audiences into embodied encounters with people, places, and emotional landscapes that might otherwise remain distant or unseen, revealing dance film’s unique ability to connect us across space, memory, and experience.

On May 15-16th, we close Sarasota Contemporary Dance's season of endearment and joyfully reunite with Sarasota’s own Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in a vibrant celebration of gospel, Motown, and legacy. Co-directed by WBTT’s Nate Jacobs and SCD’s Leymis Bolaños Wilmott, this production is a heartfelt culmination of artistic friendship and mutual admiration. We look forward to seeing you at Manatee Performing Arts Center!
