Brazilian Jiu jitsu changed my life.

Hi everyone, I just like to share with you my experience and how Brazilian Jiu Jitsu change my life. So I’d like to take you back around 2007 where I began this journey and how I’m still studying.

It was around 2007 and I was working for the local Sheriff office. At the time I was training my friend Mark. While training we were talking and agreeing how the state of Florida really doesn’t teach their LEO or Corrections Officers realistic techniques to defend themselves from inmate attacks and or any potential attacks no matter what the situation might call for, so the idea can up why not train BJJ. As we were talking Mark told me he trained BJJ under Charles Dos Anjos ( who is my instructor and the one who promoted me to black belt ) the head instructor and owner of wolfpackbjjsarasota. Then Mark invited me to train BJJ and ever since then I’ve stayed with it.

While training over the years BJJ has taught me self- awareness, humility and discipline.

My self-awareness was enhanced not only about my surrounds but about myself. How I was in control of my life the entire time. Endless hours on the mat made me realize my capabilities and how to control my anxiety.
