NOAA Fisheries has announced the 2022 red snapper season for vessels with federal for-hire reef fish permits.
The season will begin at 12:01 a.m., local time, on June 1, 2022, and will close at 12:01 a.m., local time, on August 19, 2022, for a total of 79 days in Gulf federal waters. Here are the facts folks, there is no such thing as Coronavirus on the water, so stop worrying about the beach or bar, and head to the boats. The fishing is turning up with the Kingfish showing up, and the grouper fishing offshore being the best at this time of year.

You don't get much more socially isolated than being 20 to 30 miles out in the ocean with the healing sunshine on your face.
So come on out with your group of friends or family, bring a cooler to take your catch home and gave a fun day on the water.
