Teaching mindfulness and "calm time" to pre-K and K. So sweet! Today we made 'feelings' journals. They all felt happy. I felt loved. 🥰

Every day take a few minutes to sit in quiet and listen to the silence or perhaps the birds and outdoor sounds around you. No need to worry about what isn't getting done. Just sit for a few minutes and listen.
The goal is not to stop thinking in meditation. The goal is not to judge your thoughts as they come. Just let them flow in and then let them flow out. Do not focus on them. Acknowledge that they are there and then let them flow away for later. Then refocus on your breath.

It's like this sometimes.
Although many people love and thrive in this time of year, many others are dealing with great stress and depression.
Remember that it's ok, not to keep up with the rest of the world. It's ok to slow down your pace and stay on a budget for yourself.
It's ok to say NO.
In addition, take just 3 minutes in the morning and 3 in the evening to sit, close your eyes and just breathe easy. These moments for yourself will make a difference.
