September 11th is one of those days that still feels heavy, no matter how many years pass. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the 2,977 lives that were taken far too soon. We remember the people who went to work that morning, boarded a flight, or simply started an ordinary Tuesday never knowing they wouldn’t make it home.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who ran toward danger when every instinct would have told them to run away. We remember the families who said goodbye without knowing it was goodbye.

And we remember what happened afterward—when, for a moment, we weren’t divided by our differences. We were simply Americans. Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers prayed together. Flags hung from homes, businesses, overpasses, and front porches across the country.

May we never forget the lives lost. May we never forget the heroes. May we never forget the families who still carry that loss. And may we never forget how we came together.

We have some important changes to our range memberships, including changes to the additional protection coverage recently provided through USCCA.

To help answer questions and make this transition easier, U.S. LawShield representatives will be at R&R Tactical on TWO days this week to meet with our customers, discuss available U.S. LawShield options, and answer questions.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

Stop by and speak directly with a U.S. LawShield representative about available options and ask any questions you may have.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

While we are still navigating ongoing medical issues, we’re ready to begin transitioning back to normal operations with new hours:

It is Purple Heart day today. A day when we honor the men and women that have given their all for our country and were wounded or killed in combat.

Most are not aware of the history of this award. It actually goes back to George Washington in 1782, with the Badge of Merit. Washington intended the honor to be presented to soldiers for "any singularly meritorious action." In 1932 in honor of Washington's 200th birthday and because of the efforts of General Douglas MacArthur, the U.S. War Department created the Order of the Purple Heart for commendable actions. In 1944 the award was changed to only include those being injured or killed in combat.Since that time, close to 2 million have been earned this honor for their bravery in combat.

While it would be a great thing to happen, unfortunately our country will never have a time when we won't need our military to protect our country and its citizens from the evil in the world. We salute those that put on the uniform and stand a post to protect our Freedoms.

Today is American Family day.

When was the last time you brought the family to the range with you? Maybe you are the type that always makes range day a family event and of course we applaud you for that. Besides the obvious benefits of getting together and enjoying some time doing fun things, it promotes fi****ms safety and the used of fi****ms in a positive way.

But maybe it has been a while. School, baseball practice, soccer matches, cheerleading drills and summer festivities all create a demand on parents time. We get that. Most of us at R&R Tactical are parents as well. Family life is full of demands.

We do see families in our weekly Hunter Safety courses. Mom, dad, uncle or grandpa is often here with a new young hunter. But how about for other shooting sports events? Teaching or working with your son or daughter while they learn gun safety, basic marksmanship and skills that will stay with them for life is a great family activity!

Your son or daughter (or both or more) are welcome on our range as young as 8 years old (with parental supervision of course.) And that is a perfect age to start them out, especially with a youth sized 22 rifle.

So what do you say? Will we see you here either today, this week or soon with your family? We sure hope so!

Are you ready for the next level of training? Why not take our intermediate level handgun class. Sure, you know the basics. You are getting decent groupings,not great but fair, and your speed to acquire could use a little help. This would be the class for you.

Students should be familiar with and have experience with the handgun you will be working with. We will go over the next level of sighting, drawing and engaging your target. This type of training will be helpful for both competition as well as concealed carry.

The class will be on August 17th and 6PM to 8PM. Bring 150 rounds of ammo (you may not shoot it all) and be ready to be run thru the paces. Eye and ear protection are available to rent if you don't have your own. The class runs 125.00 and call to reserve your spot - problems with the reservations on the website right now.
