REMINDER - registration for the FALL 2026 Junior Rangers Learn to Play program is open & underway.

Join this fun program, for ages 6-10 years old.

FALL 2026 LEARN TO PLAY REGISTRATION OPEN!

If you have a child that wants to learn to play hockey, the Fall 2026 the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program will start soon, and registration is now open.

Once again Saugerties Youth Hockey and the Kiwanis Ice Arena are partnering with the NY Rangers on their Junior Rangers Learn to Play hockey program.

The Junior Rangers Learn to Play program is geared to new players ages 5 to 10, looking to try hockey for the first time. Rangers staff and former Rangers players teach new players the basics of the game, in a fun environment, on Sunday mornings.

The Fall 2026 program starts Sunday October 11; every new player receives a full set of new hockey equipment.

Saugerties Fillies 19u T1 is looking for a few more players to round out their roster. They are currently playing this weekend at NAHA showcase in Rockland MA. They are also playing in the TGHF, Lovell showcase, Fall Foliage Tournament and WC Swans tournament.

NEW OFFICIALS NEEDED

For several seasons there has been a shortage of hockey officials, so now is a great opportunity for players & coaches of all ages & abilities to consider becoming a USA Hockey official.

There is no minimum or maximum age and there are many games available for new officials in the Saugerties & Hudson Valley area.

New officials need to register with USA Hockey, and complete the required online training, which includes online video modules, enrolling in a Level 1 seminar (typically this can be done virtually/online via Zoom etc.) and the online rules exercise.

Anyone born in 2009 & later also needs to complete the SafeSport training, and anyone 18 or older must also complete a background check. A full list of requirements is listed here: https://www.usahockey.com/registrationrules
