These partnerships represent a major step forward in providing a clear and competitive development pathway for players in the APHL who aspire to reach the next level of professional hockey.

"As we head into our second full year as the APHL, it’s incredibly rewarding to see this kind of positive growth. We’re committed to building a league that not only delivers high-level competition but also opens real doors for our players. These affiliate relationships help establish a trusted route to the FPHL and beyond, and it speaks volumes about the talent and professionalism we’re cultivating here."
We’re proud of the direction the league is heading—building a foundation for long-term success, growth, and opportunity. The APHL isn’t just a league. It’s a launchpad. 🚀

New things are coming your way, stay tuned.

Hockey Players, Coaches, Team Owners, and Fans,

I have recently accepted the position of President of the American Premier Hockey League (APHL), ushering in a new era of leadership and ambition for the organization. With a steadfast commitment to excellence and professionalism, I aim to elevate the league to new heights. My vision for the APHL encompasses not only the growth of the league but also a renewed focus on organized competitive hockey and player development.

Under my leadership, the APHL is set to implement a series of initiatives designed to foster talent and provide a robust framework for aspiring hockey players. Recognizing the importance of nurturing young athletes, I am dedicated to creating an environment where players can thrive and reach their full potential. This commitment to player development involves enhanced training programs, better scouting for emerging talents, and increased support for athletes at all levels of the league.
Additionally, my approach to growing the league includes strengthening the organizational structures and ensuring each team operates with the highest standards of professionalism. By fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the ice, I envision the APHL becoming a premier destination for hockey talent and a beacon of competitive spirit. As I step into this new role, I commit to the hockey community the positive impacts of my leadership and the exciting future that lies ahead for the APHL.

In closing, I want to ensure the hockey community that the previous leadership of the UHL was not involved with the APHL upon our inception. The APHL is a non-profit organization led by a member-voted Executive Board with the highest level of ethics and professionalism.

Thank you for the opportunity to lead the APHL into the 2024/2025 season.
Joshua Way
APHL President

The sooner you get organized the better, feel free to reach out with questions. We have an amazing organizational team at the league level. They took a really bad situation and made something special out of it. There are some pretty amazing announcements coming. I can guarantee, if you’re thinking about starting a team, you’re gonna want to be part of this.

Also, congratulations to the Hudson Valley Vipers on winning the American Premier Hockey League Championship! And to their organizations management for bringing FPHL Hockey to Poughkeepsie! We’re looking forward to where the next chapter of the story takes us all!

Toledo is gonna see a bunch of this on Saturday…

Due to the mechanical issues at The Big Bear, we started looking for ice on Sunday down near The West Michigan Sentinels.

No go.

So we thought we’d try for ice on Friday, the 10th. The thought being, the winner would then be able to travel to Toledo from Grand Rapids for the 3:00pm game on Saturday.

Again no go.

So we checked Saginaw, Flint, Port Huron, and anywhere else else we thought there might be ice available in southern Michigan.

A last no go.

So, we kicked it upstairs and gave it to the commissioner. Based on overall win percentage, your Soo Nordiques advance to face Toledo Saturday at 3 PM in the icehouse.

Roll Nords!
