Happy Friday everyone! 🙌🏼
32” of snow on the ground here in the Soo, and 32 degrees. The “warm up” isn’t looking like it’s going to be any big deal here. We hope you didn’t cancel your trip!
We do still have one machine down, and our schedule has been adjusted to make sure we can still cover all areas.
Here’s what I know-
❄️ Trail 8- Soo to Raco- good (Soo to Brimley) to excellent (Brimley to Raco). May have drifts in open areas.
❄️ City Trails - part of 49, 449, 497, and the I500/Holiday Inn trail- good
❄️ Trail 49- Soo to Kinross- good. All water holes are non existent, if they start to open up, we’ll be sure to update! May have some drifts in open areas.
❄️ Trail 49 south of M80 and the 494 loop- good
❄️ Trail 472 to 480 to the Raco gate- good - Go slow by the new bridge on 480 as there is still very little exposed stone there that is getting more and more covered with new snow.
❄️ Trail 480 from the Spile Dam turnaround to the Raco Powerline ( trail 8 ) - good
❄️ Raco Powerline- good
❄️ Trail 889 The Mission Hill Loop- excellent
Remember, we are on Groomer Tracker!
Ride safe and sober everyone!

Warren was out on 8 between Raco and Brimley, and part of 480 between the Spile Dam and Raco. He got done before temps started to warm up. We received 3-4” of fresh snow this morning on top of this awesome 18”-2’ base that we have!
Trails are fabulous right now!
Enjoy 😎 Thank you Warren and all volunteers!
Please stop and see us tomorrow in Raco! ❄️❄️❄️

Good morning all! We absolutely love receiving messages like this!
Thank you, Stewart K. for sending this and for your feedback!
“Had the great pleasure of meeting Richard on the trail yesterday on our ride from the Sault to Brimley. The trails were fantastic. Thank you.”
Stewart came upon Rich cutting up a tree in the trail and stopped to help him👏🏼👏🏼
Rich is 80 some years young and has been volunteering nearly as long as I’ve been alive. He’s a treasure to our club, and we so appreciate his service!
Thank you again, Stewart! ❄️❄️❄️

Good evening everyone!
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Paula and Carl with the Motor City SledHeads LLC, as well as all of these awesome people who participated in their annual couples ride here in the Soo and surrounding area 2 weekends ago!
I was fortunate to join them, and I had a great time!
We appreciate their very generous donation to our club!
We hope you’ll come back again! ❄️❄️❄️

A few shots from Bryan of the city trails. Warm daytime temps are coming, but we’ll be out when it’s below 30 as we move through this tiny warm up.
Things are absolutely excellent right now! Thank you Bryan and all operators! ❄️❄️❄️

Press Release from International Snowmobile Manufacturers Assoc
Join us for International Snowmobile Ride Day – February 14, 2026
The International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA)
is excited to celebrate International Snowmobile Ride Day on Saturday, February 14ᵗʰ, 2026.
Held annually on the second Saturday in February, this year’s Ride Day is extra special as it coincides with Valentine’s Day – giving snowmobilers the perfect opportunity to spend the day with someone they love and enjoy the sport they love.
ISMA encourages snowmobilers everywhere to get out on the trails, share the experience with friends and family, and enjoy the health and wellness benefits of spending time outdoors during the winter.
Snowmobiling not only connects riders with nature – it also supports small businesses and communities throughout the North American Snowbelt, many of which rely on the economic boost
snowmobilers bring them during the winter season.
This year’s event takes place during Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week (February 7-16, 2026), an initiative that invites riders to introduce non-snowmobiling friends to the sport and show them
firsthand how fun, accessible, and community-driven snowmobiling can be.
As part of the ISMA grant program, nineteen snowmobile clubs across North America have received
funding to host a ride or special event this Saturday. If you live near one of these clubs, we
encourage you to join their activity – or connect with your local club to plan your own ride for
the weekend. Getting involved with your local snowmobile club is one of the best ways to meet
fellow riders, explore new trails, and support snowmobiling in your region.
Have a great International Snowmobile Ride Day – and ride safely this weekend!
