The Eagles home rink is the venerable Pullar Stadium, the Pullar has been called “Our Lady on Portage”, as the building has stood proudly on Portage Avenue for over 70 years. We are proud of our home ice and that is reflected in the performance of every player, coach, volunteer and fan that is associated with the Eagles. The Eagles have developed an intense and highly focused hockey development curriculum. The 2010/2011 season brought that to a climax, when we won the NOJHL championship, and then played some dramatic hockey at the prestigious Dudley Hewitt Cup (Central Canadian Junior A Championship),

We are fully committed to educating and preparing the Eagle players both on and off the ice. While hockey development is a primary concern, our responsibility goes much further. The Eagles feel privileged to be part of the Sault Ste Marie community. All players must pursue their education and community involvement to their maximum potential. Past players of the Soo Eagles have moved on to many elite levels of hockey, and the list of alumni is growing fast. Our players now play for OHL, NCAA DI and NCAA D3 organizations. As the future unfolds we anticipate seeing these fine graduates of the Eagles program at even higher levels. While maximizing our contribution to the team during the season, the Eagles organization keeps our players in the media spotlight. We combine that exposure with scouting exposure from numerous teams at a every higher level. Our players showcase their skills in a highly competitive environment. The Eagles organization is dedicated to maximizing their players skills to continue their hockey careers at the next level. We are also very careful to maintaining our players amateur status – as defined by NCAA standards. United in our pursuit of excellence both on and off the ice, our players will be active members and positive role models in the community. This is done by actively involving the players at local events, hospitals, not for profit organizations and charity events. All of this helps the players mature emotionally and socially, realizing the importance of giving back to the community. We want our players to be intense on the ice and focused within the classroom, and the community. That intensity must also be balanced with fun, the sheer enjoyment of the great game of hockey must also be part of being an “Eagle”
