Softball & Volleyball Region & Area Champs!

Softball clinched the Region 3 AAAA championship at the end of September with New Hampstead and Jenkins victories. Overall the Sharks finished 12-6 and 4-1 in the region, and the Sharks are back-to-back Region Championships.

The Sharks open up the GHSA Class 4A state playoffs on Tuesday at home vs. Dougherty High school. The first pitch will be thrown at 1 pm.

Volleyball also Spikes Back to Back Area Championships on Saturday.

Islands defended its Area title and defeated Jenkins 25-9, 25-8 in the semi-final round. In the championship match versus West Laurens. The Sharks won two straight games by scores of 25-13 and 25-8. The Sharks still have regular-season matches this week and will start the GHSA Class 4A state playoffs on October 19th in the Shark Tank.
