The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced last Sunday it will NOT take any enforcement actions under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) on U.S. citizens, domestic reporting companies, or their beneficial owners.

With announcement of forthcoming emergency regulations, Treasury said it will only take action against foreign companies failing to comply with the CTA and/or Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting.

President Donald Trump echoed the sentiment on social channels, citing how the CTA rule “…has been a nightmare for Small Businesses Nationwide.”
