Please give a giant Hurricane welcome to our new Ladies Basketball Head Coach, Jessica Previglian!!

Jessica Previglian has been married to her husband, David, for 19 years. Together they have three children: Daniel (17), who recently graduated from high school and will attend North Greenville University; Madison (15), who is entering her sophomore year of high school; and Abigail (3), who will begin preschool this fall.

The Previglian family moved to South Carolina five years ago and has been involved with CHAA basketball for the past four years. Last season, Jessica had the privilege of serving as the assistant coach for both the Varsity and JV girls basketball teams. She was encouraged to witness the player's growth and maturity, both on and off the court, as both teams finished the season with winning records.

Jessica's true desire is to glorify the Lord in all she does and to see Him transform lives through every opportunity He provides. She is thankful for the opportunity to coach again this season and looks forward to encouraging, mentoring, and leading these young women both as athletes and as followers of Christ while striving for another successful season.

My name is Darrell West; I am a married father of eight children. I love the Lord Jesus! I grew up in
church, but I came to have true saving faith at the age of twenty-one. I have ministered and pastored a church, I
am now a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici, GA. Under the leadership of Pastor Terry Sellars.
My passion for basketball goes back as far as I can remember. I began coaching at the age of 18, as a
volunteer at the recreation department. I went on to coach at Midway Middle School. From there, I started the
Coastal Crew Rebels (an AAU program).
After completing my first year with the Coastal Crew, I accepted the head coach position at First
Presbyterian Christian Academy. I was there for four years. I lead the team to three final fours, and two state
championships. While there I also received two GISA, “Coach of The Year” awards.
In two consecutive years (2016 and 2017), I was inducted into the Hinesville Hall of fame. I later
accepted a position as Girls’ Head Coach at Faith Baptist Christian Academy. I would later become Varsity
Girls and Boys assistant coach. Both teams went on to become state championship winners during my time
there. In 2019 I established the Georgia Bombers, a minor league basketball team. The team accomplished great feats. The program was named among very reputable leagues; NABL, ABA, TTBL, and MBL; throughout the duration of its tenure. However, the call to the youth of the local community would call my attention back to my roots.
The Georgia Bombers AAU Basketball program was launched in February of 2022. With a mission to encourage, uplift, and guide the youth. With a goal not only to develop and nurture a skillset, but to build character. In 2024, I founded the West Academy Eagles; a Post Graduate Program that afforded recent high
school graduates with the opportunity to play at the college level.
My goal in coaching is not to make a name for myself, but to leave a legacy that will honor my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that the sport of basketball can be used as a tool to teach, excellent work ethics, respect, responsibility, how to be a team player, and develop good character. Basketball has been instrumental in providing this and so much more in my own life
