Barefoot Massage

A floor-based Ashiatsu (barefoot) style therapeutic massage using a blend of deep tissue and/or myofascial release techniques to address client needs. Myofascial release will be delivered using the Sarga method, as described under its service listing below. Deep tissue techniques were learned in DeepFeet Silks. Both methods utilize fabric silks to maintain pressure through tension. Barefoot massage allows the therapist to use up to their full body weight to apply pressure, and even exceed it when appropriate using the tensional force of the silks. Feet are also ideally shaped and contoured for working larger muscle groups, and delivering consistent, slow, broad pressure when applying myofascial release. Some clients may find barefoot massage more comfortable than deep tissue massage using elbows or forearms, and in many cases it requires less effort on the part of the therapist. This type of massage is great for addressing chronic pain, improving range of motion, and relieving stress. Thai stretching may also be included as appropriate. This is a customizable massage.
