From out family to yours, thank you for the miles of smiles. May the spirit of the season bring you joy and happiness.
’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the shop,
Not a derailleur sat idle, not one workbench stopped.
The bikes stood in rows, tagged ready with care,
In hopes that new riders soon would be there.
The staff were still wrenching, sleeves rolled up tight,
Finishing builds well into the night.
I checked sales reports with a grin I could trust
Strong turns, clean margins, the numbers were just.
Kids’ bikes were flying, commuters too,
Cargo and e-bikes, our fastest-growing crew.
Road and gravel still held their place,
But new riders walked in at a record pace.
When out in the lot there arose such a sound,
I sprang from the office and turned all around.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
To see cars lined up, bringing foot traffic and cash.
The glow of the lights on the fresh winter snow
Reflected on frames in the window below.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But families, first-timers, neighbors drawing near.
With questions and wonder and cautious delight,
They spoke of greenways and riding to work by bike.
I knew in that moment, as clear as could be,
This wasn’t just sales, it was community.
“Your first bike here, your upgrade there,
This one for errands, that one for fresh air.
With fenders and lights, a lock that’s just right,
You’ll ride more days than you drive,” I recite.
The mechanics flew fast, with skill and with pride,
Each bike dialed in, test-ridden outside.
No clatter, no creak, every shift set just so,
Built not just to sell, but to help riders grow.
And then, in a twinkling, right there on the floor,
I heard happy laughter I’d heard years before.
Parents recalling their first childhood ride,
Now passing that spark to kids by their side.
We loaded up minivans, hatchbacks, and trucks,
Sharing advice and a little good luck.
“Ride safe, start small, come back anytime
We’re here for the journey, not just the dime.”
As the lot emptied out and the doors locked tight,
The shop stood quiet at last for the night.
I looked at the racks, now thinner than before,
And smiled at the paths those bikes had in store.
For this wasn’t a season, a spike, or a trend
It was riders discovering freedom again.
Through service and sales, through trust earned each day,
We’re delivering more than bikes, we’re lighting the way.
So here’s to the shops, the teams, and the grind,
To growing ridership, one rider at a time.
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good ride
Here’s to 2026, with the wind at our side.
