We are a group of runners who know that speed isn't important, but moving is. Join us for long runs Sundays at 6:30 am. DM us for the meet up location

we alternate between downtown and the Truman Trail.

Running turns stress into strength.

Stress builds up in the body—tight shoulders, restless thoughts, a mind that won’t slow down. Running takes that energy and channels it into movement.

With every step, the tension begins to fade. Your breath deepens, your body loosens, and what once felt heavy starts to feel lighter.

Instead of letting stress break you, running teaches you to use it. The miles transform nervous energy into endurance, frustration into focus, and worry into resilience.

By the time you finish, the stress that weighed you down has become the strength that carries you forward.

Another Sultry Swamp Run in the books. We finished in one hour and 48 minutes. Temp wasn't bad but the humidity was 94%. Jessica Coe and Sarah Anderson celebrated our success with two trips down the water slide. Stay tuned for that. Donna Pfendler-Merkle has the video! As the Rough Runners say, Stay moisty. #

I was so useless after running yesterday that I didn't even post.

Forgot to take a group picture yesterday, but I remembered to start my watch! With the update on my watch, you can see the intervals in the route. You can't see the three repeats on the Rocky stairs, but I promise we did them at 80 degrees and 86% humidity. Next week is the Sultry Swamp Run. It's my 4th time but Donna Pfendler-Merkle will run it for the first time. Should be hot, humid, and muddy! Maybe then we can consider a mudder. # #
