Scales Mound Hornets Trap Team

Always good to spend some time with the Scales Mound High School Trap Team! I was glad to stop by and present the team with a $500 scholarship through the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus.

This is a great program with a lot of hardworking kids who take their sport seriously. A big thank you to Coaches Jeremy Williams, Amanda Williams, and Michael Conrad for the time and effort they put into giving these students the opportunity to compete.

Proud to support the Hornets and looking forward to seeing what they accomplish this year!

Individual championship round this afternoon. Adyn qualified in the top 400 for today’s championship round. He scored 97/100 but unfortunately did not make the top 10 for awards. He did make his team proud as they all watched him and received another 25 straight. Congratulations!

Championship Team Finals this morning. Scales Mound ended with a team total of 453/500. Unfortunately that did not place them in the top 5 for awards but these athletes stayed determined all season to get here and they did. Congratulations to all of them for making it to the finals!

Today was individual qualifying day. Adyn received a 50 straight patch and made the top 400 individuals to enter the championship round tomorrow. Ian and Weston received a 25 straight patch. Congratulations to all of them! Bring on the finals!
