End of season ski and boot maintenance.

Clean your ski bases with a citrus cleaner, then wax and scrape, and wax again, but don't scrape until next season. Then wax and scrape.

Pull your boots apart. including the insole in the liner. Make sure everything is thoroughly dry. Spray the shells, the inside and outside of the liners, and the insoles lightly with Lysol.

Reassemble when dry. Buckle tightly. Don't store your ski equipment in a damp basement or garage.

Before the start of next season, take your equipment into a shop and have the bindings checked and reset.

It's not too early to begin praying for snow.

If you haven't purchased boots in a while, boots keep evolving. They now come in size, width, and volume measurements.

There are low-volume (LV) boots that are narrow around the foot with a low arch, ankle, and leg. If you plan to use an arch support, the LV boot might not have enough room.

Medium volume (MV) is the average foot, with an arch.

High Volume (HV) is for thick "meaty" feet, with high arches, ankles, and legs.

Fifty percent of the people I see who purchased boots online get the wrong size or volume
