Schenectady Curling Club Great Curling in Schenectady since 1907! Curling started in Schenectady in 1907. R.S. The Schenectady Curling Club was launched as part of the Mohawk Club.

Emmet, a charter member of the Mohawk Golf Club is credited with introducing the sport to Schenectady. By 1919, there were two sheets of natural covered ice. A fire in 1923 nearly eliminated curling in Schenectady. Again, the Emmet family was instrumental in building a three sheet facility on Front Street. As interest and membership grew, new curling quarters were needed. By 1954 our current curli

ng facility on Balltown Road had opened its doors. In 1953 our club opened its doors to women curlers and mixed curling was not far behind. Our teenage curling program made its debut in 1956, and in the 80’s a Little Rock program was introduced for children between the ages of six and twelve. Our current facility has four sheets of ice and an inviting “warm room” with an excellent kitchen for our members and visitors. We are a 501( c)(3) not-for-profit Sports Education organization.

Chad Alojipan, Pat Howard, Brian Wang and Varun Gandhi play the Richmond Curling Club in the A Event.

Chad Stoffer, Meghan Muller, Joe Perrotto, and Yuko Kashiwado play North End Curling Club in the B event.

We have 2 1/2 teams playing at the Big Buckin’ Bonspiel in Bucks County, PA.

Chad Alojipan, Pat Howard, Brian Wang, and Varun Gandhi play at 8:15pm tonight, 3:30pm Friday, and 8am Saturday.

Chad Stoffer, Meghan Muller, Joe Perrotto, and Yuko Kashiwado play 10:15am and 8pm Friday and 12:30pm Saturday.

Steve Wood and Brendan Brader are playing with Merrimack Valley and play at 8am and 5:45pm Friday and 10:15am Saturday.
