Today meant a little more. 💙

Some of our CFS family took on the Ovarian Cancer 5K through Washington Park today, and seeing our people show up for a cause like this hits close to home.

Cancer has touched way too many lives. Having fought my own battle with AML twice, I know just how much every bit of support, love, and hope can mean when you’re in that fight.

Really proud to have a community that shows up for each other, inside the gym, and for things much bigger than fitness.

Today we ran for everyone still fighting, everyone we’ve lost, and everyone lucky enough to call themselves a survivor. 🫶🏽

Felt like a vlogger there the first couple seconds… 😅

For real though, thank y’all so much for continuing to support me and this gym. I’m forever thankful for y’all, and I can’t wait to see how far we can take this place!

CFS is more than just a gym. We’re a family. And we’re just getting started. 🧡

The workouts might be what bring us through the doors, but they’re far from the best thing that happens inside them.

Sometimes the gym has nothing to do with getting fitter.

Sometimes you walk through those doors carrying a bad day, stress from work, something going on at home, or just a mind that won’t shut off.

And for an hour, you get to put it down.

You move. You laugh. You struggle through a workout next to people who somehow make life feel a little lighter.

That’s the part of the gym that’s hard to explain until you’ve experienced it.

Of course we’re here to get stronger, healthier, and fitter.

But I think a lot of us keep coming back because of how we feel when we’re here, and who we get to be around.

For so many people, this place is therapy.
It’s an escape.
It’s community.
It’s one of the happiest hours of their day.

The fitness is important.

But the people beside you might be the best part. 🧡

Most people who walk into our gym aren’t trying to become athletes.

They’re trying to get their life back.

To have more energy.

To feel strong again.

To keep up with their kids.

To stop feeling uncomfortable in their own body.

To do things they thought they couldn’t anymore.

The workouts are just the tool.

The life you get outside the gym is the reason.

Everyone wants to leave puddled on the floor.

Nobody wants to talk about what that’s actually costing them.

Effort isn’t how wrecked you are after..it’s whether you can back it up again tomorrow.

Chasing the crash every single day isn’t dedication. It’s borrowing from progress you haven’t made yet. Time to find, yes. Everyday..no.

Show up. Push hard. But leave enough in the tank to do it again.
