This August, we went to HDA at Briggs. So proud of all the girls. They all put so much hard work in preparation and I was so glad to see it pay off.
To start the day we had Maggie Karlburg on Breezeway John Henry in Intro A and B scoring a 60% and 65% getting the blue ribbon for B! Maggie is a fierce competitor and I commend her for facing her first tests ever in the big ring with my sassy pony!
Also in Intro A and B, Chloe Costello competed on Miss Makenna Kai. Chloe won big in Intro A with a 69% and second in B with a 65%! Seeing Chloe’s growth over the years has been amazing to witness, so happy with these two!
Competing in Intro B and Intro C, also on Makenna Kai, Julianna Pierry did a phenomenal job with our Queen. She won a first place with a 70 in her first ever intro C test! Proud is an understatement! I know Mary Schrader was looking down on us for this special test with adoration for her good girl Makenna girl and would have been proud of Julianna for her hard work.
Also competing in Intro C for her first ever show was Rebecca Leclerc on Wynshires Aristocrat. She scored an incredible 63% for second in the adult ammy division I’m so proud of her for getting in the show ring!
I am so thrilled with Sophie Davis on my boy, John Henry. These two absolutely smashed Intro C and their first time in Training 1, with a 67% and 62%. This pair has been working so hard this year and I can’t wait to see how far they will go.
Caroline Connolly was also a part of the moving up crew gaining a 64% in her first ever Training 1 test with Wynshires Aristocrat!! She also showed Intro C with a score of 65.5%! So proud of how far she has come in just one year of showing to be cantering around like it is nothing!!
In our leadline class, Maggie Kuipers made her showing debut on Makenna at 5 years old!! These two were absolutely amazing and were such a cute pair. Can’t wait to see where the future takes her!
Brooke Costello did such a wonderful job in Training 1 and 2 on Blingh VDL. Brooke scored a 66 and 60 in each of her classes winning Training 1!! I am so excited for her to keep climbing the levels and proud of the work she has put in.
To finish the day, Maddie Muzzi did a wonderful job in T1 and T2 on Blingh VDL! So proud of Maddie, she is truly dedicated to this sport and the work she put in really paid off with an outstanding score of a 70% in Training 2! Time for T3!!
These girls continue to amaze me with not only their riding but their horsemanship and determination. It is so wonderful to watch them grow and improve.
Special thank you to Rita Brown for all of her guidance and help over the years I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you! We appreciate Peter Brown for getting all of our horses there and back safely. Finally, thank you to Sue Barrett, Molly Murphy, and all of the dedicated parents for all of their help and moral support on show day. We simply could not do it without the whole team! 💚🐴
