Everybody meet one of our lovely members, Bob Amweg. Bob participates in our Tuesday and Thursday morning senior league. Recently, on a Tuesday morning, Bob carded an ace on our 2nd hole. 2 days later, the very next time he played the hole, he carded ANOTHER ace. That’s 2 hole in ones in one week, in back to back rounds, on the same hole during competition play! Not too shabby Bob, not too shabby at all!

What a weekend it was, the 1992 Dream Team had nothing on this year’s European Squad! Perfect conditions were delivered by Austin, Garrett and the rest our amazing grounds crew, and the three-peat was in full-affect. Congratulations to Captain Sean Callis on keeping the Ryder Cup in Europe’s hands for another 12 months. Thank you all for playing and making this the best weekend of the summer!

We lost one of our heart and souls last week. Billy Martin was a staple on our 1st tee for many years, his wit and passion will be forever missed. Condolences to Billy’s family and friends.

Due to persistent and ongoing nightly vandalism, the following changes have been made to Walk the Walk (twilight golf), effective immediately:

- All bookings must be made online ahead of time. No more first come, first serve or walk ins.

- Limited to 6 tee times, 24 total players.

- Every booking requires a full name and credit card to book. Members may still play for free, but a credit card is still necessary for booking in the event of a no show.

Please note that the course is now under 24 hour surveillance. All players playing Walk the Walk are asked to please report any malicious or destructive activity immediately to golf staff either in the golf shop, or if closed, through Instagram message, or by email to Ian or TJ. We understand that this may be frustrating and disappointing to some of you, we share your frustration as it’s unfortunate we have been forced to make these changes. We appreciate your understanding as we do our best to look out for the course for everyone to enjoy.

UPDATE ON FIRST LIGHT AND WALK THE WALK: We have made some changes to our first light program this year. First light will now be limited to MEMBERS ONLY and will take place Tuesday through Thursday, starting May 12th and continuing until September 3rd. If you are someone who only plays first light, we will be offering a FIRST LIGHT ONLY MEMBERSHIP, which will be limited to the first 40 applicants. All members playing first light will be issued a bag tag to signify they are permitted to be playing during that time. Starters and grounds crew will be checking bag tags throughout the year. KEEP AN EYE OUT IN COMING DAYS FOR CHANGES TO WALK THE WALK. Thank you for your understanding on these matters as we navigate changes due to continuous vandalism and neglect of the golf course.

Happy (almost) spring Widow’s family! We are happy to announce that we have an **EXPECTED** Opening date of Friday, April 3rd!! As long as the weather cooperates, we will see you in 3 weeks or so! We will keep you updated on any changes if Mother Nature decides she has other plans. Start loosening up, golf season is around the corner!!
